Purpose of the scoring system
This system is designed to evaluate and score the compliance of governmental web portals with the criteria set by the United Nations E-Government Development Index. The system aids in identifying areas for improvement and facilitates the enhancement of e-government services.
Overview of the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI)
The E-government Development Index (EGDI) is a composite index based on the readiness and capacity of national administrations to use the information and communications technologies to deliver public services.
EGDI consists of three components:
- Online Service Index (OSI)
- Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII)
- Human Capital Index (HCI).
